The safety of our staff and customers has always been of the utmost importance to us. As times change in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, safety has never been so vital. It has no doubt been a challenging and unsettling few months and as lockdown begins to ease, we’re all facing a new normal. Getting and keeping people on the road is what we’re all about here at Collison, and that mission hasn’t changed as social distancing measures take precedence.
Here we introduce our new, contactless motoring services, and reveal how we’re upholding the same high quality standards that our team is renowned for.
Collison Motoring Services is now contactless!
Our services have been tweaked to ensure contact can be minimised at every stage and you, our staff and the wider community can be fully protected as a result. We’re here to talk you through what you can expect from our new contactless motoring services…
Most jobs start with a quote, whilst these used to be provided as hard copies, this documentation is now delivered via email. Confirming that you’d like to proceed with the work is just as easy. We’ve changed our policy on signatures, which means there’s no more signing paper documents or providing e-signatures on tablets. Instead our services require a text, email or audible authorisation.
When you arrive at the centre, if you prefer not to come in, you can call us. You will then be placed in a queue and be called back to discuss your requirements. You can even remain in your vehicle until we are ready to work on it and can wait outside or leave and return when your vehicle is ready to go. Those who are currently isolating can still make sure that MOTs and repairs are completed in a timely manner courtesy of our pick up and drop off service.
When working on your vehicle, team members wear gloves and change them with each new vehicle handled. They also wash their hands thoroughly in between jobs. Our team members are particularly vigilant about personal space and maintain social distancing wherever possible throughout the working day.
After the job has been completed, common contact areas within your car (i.e. steering wheels, keys and handles) are wiped down. The centre is regularly cleaned with contact points such as door handles, desks, surfaces, payment keypads and toilets all thoroughly cleansed.
The handover of your vehicle has been altered to minimise contact too. We are currently not accepting cash and instead ask customers to settle their bills via card or contactless payment. Here at Collison, we also provide 0% interest free credit and payment options for those struggling to foot the bill in full due to the impact of Covid-19.
Our team still offers the same outstanding aftercare service to all our customers. We now remotely demonstrate work that’s required to ensure you have the guidance you need to keep your vehicle safe and running.
Giving your car a post-lockdown workout
Our aftercare service doesn’t end there. We have recently introduced a Keep Fit for Cars package, which will certainly come in handy as lockdown eases and you look to get back onto the road once again.
Our Keep Fit for Cars service provides a maintenance check to ensure your vehicle is ready for action after lockdown. All you have to do is book a day and we’ll do the rest. We even collect your vehicle to ensure ultimate convenience for you.
When your motor arrives at the garage it’ll enjoy a quick workout with all the essential components checked. Your car will then receive a little TLC courtesy of an exterior wash and interior hoover. Your vehicle will be topped up with fuel too before it’s returned to you.
